Abstract
Experimental data on energetic ions in cosmic rays: the anomalous comp onent and heavy ions of the iron group are considered. The specific fe atures of interactions of the anomalous component with the Earth's mag netosphere and the possibility to utilise these specific features for studies of the ionic component in cosmic rays are discussed.
