Abstract
Carbonucleotoids (phosphate-bond linked carbohydrates) and carbopeptoi ds (peptide bond linked carbohydrates) are proposed as new oligosaccha ride ligands. The ready access to these analogues is demonstrated by t he facile synthesis of the tetrameric carbonucleotoid 1.
