Abstract
The synthesis of the so far unknown 3-amino-4-oxo-2-phenyl-4H-1-benzop yran-8-acetic acid (3-aminoflavone-8-acetic acid) starting from 2-hydr oxy-3-(prop-2-ene)benzaldehyde and (Z)-(2-chloro-2-nitroethenyl)benzen e is described.
