Abstract
Alkyl, alpha-oxyalkyl and acyl radical intermediates in the oxidation of alkanes, ethers and aldehydes by dimethyldioxirane are trapped by p rotonated quinolines and a free-radical chain is suggested for the alp ha-acetoxylation of ketones.
