Abstract
The electron spin resonance (ESR) spectrum of C60S16 has been analyzed . It has been found that this compound has radical spins of only one s pin per 10(3)-10(4) C-60 molecules. In this sense, C60S16 is an essent ially neutral van der Waals complex. Nonetheless, the observed anisotr opy of the ESR lineshape suggests that rotation and pseudorotation of C-60(-) in C60S16 is suppressed even at room temperature.
