M. Cervino et al., TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENT OZONE TRANSMITTANCE IN A MONOLAYER ATMOSPHERIC MODEL, International journal of remote sensing, 16(2), 1995, pp. 375-381
The need for information on spectral ozone transmittance arises from t
he temperature-dependence of the ozone absorption coefficients in Hart
ley-Huggins bands (200-360 nm). The methodological approach reported h
ere employs the convolution between vertical profiles of ozone and tem
perature to determine the ozone layer's effective temperature. Introdu
cing temperature makes it possible better to approximate UV-spectral o
zone transmittance values computed by LOWTRAN-7.
