Abstract
In this report of three patients with EMF, we report the unusual affec tion of the pericardium with echocardiographic epicardial thickening a nd pericardial inflammatory reaction, the presence of schistosomal gra nuloma in the pericardium, echocardiographic evidence of dense extensi ve fibrotic endocardial lesions, and microscopic evidences of an ongoi ng fibrotic process.
