Abstract
Thermal expansion data of the compositions belonging to the [NZP] fami ly have been collected and systematically organised, This material has the basic formula NaZr2P3O12, and the structural formula [M'(1)][M '' (2)][A(2)(VI)] [B-3(IV)]O-12,O- where M' and M '' are interstitial sit es occupied partially or fully by Na or other substituting ion(s). A o r B lattice sites are occupied by Zr and P, respectively, or by possib le swbstituting ions. The different ionic substitutions at various sit es in the [NZP] structure have produced a large number of compositions .
