Tb. Schroeder et al., INDIRECT DETECTION OF SE-77 IN NUCLEAR-MAGNETIC-RESONANCE SPECTRA OF ORGANOSELENIUM COMPOUNDS, Magnetic resonance in chemistry, 33(3), 1995, pp. 191-195
Se-77 was measured by inverse proton detection using multiple-quantum
H-1-{Se-77} correlation spectroscopy. One- and two-dimensional heteron
uclear multiple quantum coherence (HMQC) experiments are reported for
selenophene, benzeneselenol, dimethyl selenide, dimethyl diselenide, a
nd D,L-selenomethionine with a range of Se-77-H-1 coupling constants f
rom 9.5 to 54.2 Hz. In these compounds having protons with different S
-77-H-1 coupling constants the different correlations can be selective
ly enhanced by varying the mixing time. The enhancement for indirect v
ersus direct Se-77 detection was estimated for dimethyl selenide yield
ing a value close to the theoretical enhancement.
