The convection-radiation interaction heat transfer in boundary-layer f
lows over a semi-infinite flat plate in porous medium in the presence
of a magnetic field is studied analytically. The conservation equation
s that govern the problem are reduced to a system of nonlinear ordinar
y differential equations; these are solved numerically using the metho
d of superposition for small values of zeta(x), the dimensionless firs
t-order flow resistance due to the presence of the solid matrix. The i
nfluence of the various parameters entering into the problem on the ve
locity and heat transfer are studied.
