A new type of fast acting electromagnetic valve has been developed. Th
e tests and analysis reveal that the repetitiveness of the valve is ex
cellent; the maximum relative error of less than 2% persists for every
fifty repeated tests. The working parameters of the valve can be adju
sted in rather wide ranges, e.g. the gas filling is continuously adjus
table from 5x10(-4) Pa m(3) to 0.5 Pa m(3), the opening time of the va
lve ranges from 20 mu s to 800 mu s. The tests also demonstrate the lo
ng life of the valve. The dynamic process of the valve is presented in
detail. The theoretical calculations are found to be in good agreemen
t with the experimental results.
