M. Varshney et A. Maitra, CONFORMATION STUDIES OF AEROSOL-OT IN REVERSE MICELLES USING PHASE-SENSITIVE DOUBLE-QUANTUM COSY NMR-SPECTROSCOPY, Colloids and surfaces. A, Physicochemical and engineering aspects, 96(1-2), 1995, pp. 165-169
The conformational changes of the aerosol-OT (AOT) molecule have been
established from proton-proton coupling constant measurements of the s
ulphosuccinic part of the molecule. The coupling constant values have
been measured directly from the contour plots of the phase sensitive d
ouble quantum COSY spectrum. It has been concluded that rotational iso
merism exists in the AOT molecule, and the composition of the rotamers
in the reverse micelles depends on the water content in the droplets.
