The amorphization of the spin 1/2 transverse Ising model is studied wi
thin the effective field theory. General formulae, applicable to struc
tures with arbitrary coordination number N are given. Results for the
phase diagram and the temperature dependence of the longitudinal and t
ransverse magnetizations are presented for a cubic lattice with N = 6.
A number of interesting phenomena is found in these quantities, due t
o the fluctuation of exchange interactions and the applied transverse
field.
