Abstract
Magnetovolume effects in gamma-Co1-xMnx and gamma-Co-1-x(FeMn)(x) allo ys have been investigated in the concentration range where ferromagnet ism, spin-glass and antiferromagnetism are present. The spontaneous vo lume magnetostriction is found to be positive and to increase with inc reasing x as the Neel temperature increases. The forced volume magneto striction vanishes in the antiferromagnetic samples.
