Abstract
Following a brief review of recent developments in maintenance theory and practice, and in information technology and decision support model s, we present an integrated approach that combines elements from these domains into a powerful tool for dealing with maintenance problems. W e show how this framework can be used to set up a continuous improveme nt program for maintenance management and apply the concepts to an ind ustrial case.
