The structure of Te-118 has been investigated following the Pd-110(C-1
3,5n) reaction using gamma-ray spectroscopic techniques and a substant
ially extended level scheme is proposed. A negative parity quasi-rotat
ional band based on pi g(7/2)h(11/2) configuration has been establishe
d upto J(pi)=19(-). The level structure, above the fully aligned (pi g
(7/2)(2) x nu h(11/2)(2)) J(pi) = 16(+) yrast state, is found to evolv
e into several non-collective states.
