Abstract
The plastic deformation of styrene-methylmethacrylate random copolymer s has been studied as a function of comonomer composition and compared to the behaviour of PS and PMMA homopolymers. Activation parameters d erived from a thermodynamic and kinetic analysis of plastic flow revea l the strong influence of the MMA units in controlling the elementary deformation event.
