Abstract
Digital video recordings were used to obtain voidage distribution in a narrow fluidized bed with a small gap slightly larger than three part icle diameters. From these recordings we determined auto-correlations and power spectra in spatial and temporal and joint spatial-temporal p ower spectra. Increases in the fluidization velocity lead to increasin g disorganized non-periodic Rows. Our experimental results are discuss ed in the light of experimental results and theories found in literatu re.
