Abstract
Mossbauer and muon spin relaxation spectra have been recorded for beta -(NH4)(2)FeF5 in both the paramagnetic and ordered phases. In the orde red phase the Mossbauer spectra suggest a distribution of Fe environme nts falling largely into two groups with different ordering temperatur es; the latter is confirmed by the muon experiments.
