The anomalous decrease of the longitudinal sound velocity down to zero
in ferromagnets is theoretically predicted. This phenomenon takes pla
ce at the point of magnetic first-order phase transition. The dispersi
on law of longitudinal sound has a cubic dependence. Such behaviour is
caused by interaction between sound and relaxational oscillations of
magnetization.
