Abstract
In many cases, the spin relaxation time of paramagnetic impurities at different magnetic sites differs by orders of magnitude. We show that instead of resonance line broadening, a decay of the line amplitude is expected. We analyze various types of spin coupling that can lead to this 'nonuniform' relaxation mechanism.
