NdNi1-xCoxO3 (0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 1) sampl
es have been synthesized using a sol-gel method. The samples have been
characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron mi
croscopy (TEM). The magnetic properties have been studied by means of
ac magnetic susceptibility and dc magnetization. NdNiO3 and NdCoO3 sho
w a Curie-Weiss-like behaviour while samples with 0.3 less than or equ
al to x less than or equal to 0.8 show a magnetic anomaly around 28 K.
The experimental results suggest a spin-glass phase transition.
