A. Khapikov et al., DIFFUSION-DAMPED BLOCH LINES MOTION AND THEIR INFLUENCE ON THE DOMAIN-WALL RELAXATION, Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, 140, 1995, pp. 1865-1866
The influence of Bloch lines on the relaxation of domain walls associa
ted with the diffusion loss mechanism is revealed in garnet films usin
g a dark-field magneto-optic technique. It is found that a shift of Bl
och lines by an in-plane field leads to a jump of the domain wall osci
llation amplitude which then restores anomalously slowly to its initia
l value. The Slonczewski equations, modified to take into account diff
usion terms, are analysed. The observed jump of the wall amplitude is
explained by a change of the diffusion well due to a remagnetization o
f domain walls by moving Bloch lines.
