New compounds with spinel structure CuCr1.5+xSb0.5-xS4 (1), Cu(1-y)Me(
y)Cr(1.5+0.5y)Sb(0.5-0.5y)S(4)(Me = Zn, Co) (2), Co1.2Cr1.7Sb0.1S4 (3)
and Mn1.2Cr1.7Sb0.1S4 (4) were obtained and studied in detail. Ah the
investigated compounds are non-degenerate semiconductors. The compoun
ds No. 1 (0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.1) and No.
2 were found to have the magnetic properties characteristic for antif
erromagnets. Compounds No. 3, 4 and No. 1 (0.2 less than or equal to x
less than or equal to 0.3) have a spontaneous magnetization, with the
Curie point of the compound No. 1 with x = 0.3, i.e. T-c = 334 K, bei
ng higher than room temperature. The re-entrant spin glass transition
is observed in the compound No. 1 with x = 0.2.
