The magnetization versus magnetic field in Hg0.95Mn0.05S was measured
at T = 1.4 K in high magnetic fields B less than or equal to 20 T. Ste
p-like behaviour of the magnetization curve was analysed by using the
generalized cluster model and two main results were obtained: the near
est-neighbour exchange constant J(NN)/k(B) = -2.9 +/- 0.1 K; the distr
ibution of Mn ions displays the clusterisation tendency.
