Abstract
Comparative heat capacity measurements of YNi4B and YNi2B2C show that the incorporation of carbon in the latter causes a significant lattice stiffening. From the magnetic and specific heat data of ErNi2B2C we d educe that superconductivity and antiferromagnetism of the Er sublatti ce coexists below T-N.
