Abstract
Systematic studies of specific heat and entropy of the Verwey transiti on in Fe3-xTixO4 and Fe3-yZnyO4 series are reported. The results of th ese investigations demonstrate that in Fe3-xTixO4 and Fe3-yZnyO4 syste ms exists only one, well defined phase transition. Both the entropy of the transition and transition temperature decrease with departure fro m Fe3O4 composition.
