The temperature dependence of the cubic anisotropy in cobalt-doped YIG
films has been studied using the FMR method. Positive and negative va
lues of K-3 were found for the YIG: Co, Ge and YIG: Co, Ge, Ca samples
, respectively. A qualitative interpretation of this effect is given b
ased on the canting of the local exchange field acting on the Co2+ (a)
ion.
