Abstract
Magnetic behavior of amorphous a-Fe2Sc, prepared by mechanical ball mi lling, was studied by Mossbauer spectroscopy and ac susceptibility. A magnetic ordering temperature of 260 K was obtained from these measure ments. The 4.2 K Mossbauer spectra under external magnetic field show that the a-Fe2Sc alloy exhibits a ferromagnetic character with small m agnetic anisotropy.
