Ph. Roche et al., GIANT CENTRAL NEUROCYTOMA WITH TETRAVENTRICULAR AND EXTRAAXIAL EXTENSION - CASE-REPORT, Acta neurochirurgica, 133(1-2), 1995, pp. 95-100
The central neurocytoma is a recently recognized benign intraventricul
ar tumour of young adults. The authors report a unique case of a panve
ntricular neurocytoma with extension to the interpeduncular and prepon
tique cisterns which developed in a 35-year-old woman with a 7-year hi
story of headaches and amenorrhea. They review the different pathologi
cal and topographical patterns of pre viously published neurocytomas a
nd discuss the histogenesis of this rare tumour.
