Abstract
A case is described where ultrasound demonstrated diffusely increased echogenicity in massively enlarged kidneys. Computed tomography confir med fatty replacement of the renal parenchyma, allowing a confident di agnosis of multiple bilateral angiomyolipomas in a clinical setting of tuberous sclerosis. This is the first ultrasound demonstration of suc h diffusely echogenic kidneys in angiomyolipoma.
