Mv. Calvo et al., EFFECT OF CHEMICAL MODIFICATION OF ISOENZYME-A AND ISOENZYME-B FROM C-RUGOSA ON THEIR ACTIVITY AND STABILITY, Biotechnology letters, 17(2), 1995, pp. 171-176
Lipases A and B from C.rugosa have been chemically modified with octan
oyl chloride or polyethylene glycol (molecular weight: 750 or 5000). A
lthough the hydrolytic activity was diminished, modification gave rise
in some cases to preparations with increased synthetic activity in he
xane. Furthermore, PEG(5000)-lipases A and B were significantly more s
table (up to 20-fold) at alkaline pH values than the native enzymes.
