The phenomena of steam dissociation at high temperatures and associate
d heat transfer have been explored in this paper. The superposition me
thod based on the concept that total heat transfer is the sum of heat
transferred to chemically non-reacting gases and the transfer of heat
due to mass transfer of species in the gas mixture is proposed. A nove
l methodology and computational procedure for predicting properties an
d heat transfer in a turbulent tube flow for dissociated steam are pre
sented.
