Four major quercetin triglycosides were isolated from the leaves of an
tarctic Ranunculus species: quercetin 3-sophoroside-7-glucoside, querc
etin 3-sambubioside-7-glucoside and the corresponding 2'''-caffeoyl de
rivatives. Quercetin 3-(2'''-caffeyl-sambubioside)-7-glucoside is repo
rted for the first time. Quercetin 3-diglucoside, quercetin 3-xylosylg
lucoside, quercetin 3-(ferulylsophoroside)-7-glucoside and the previou
sly unquoted quercetin 3-(ferulylsambubioside)-7-glucoside, quercetin
3-(p-coumarylsophoroside)-7-glucoside, quercetin 3-(p-coumarylsambubio
side)-7-glucoside and quercetin 3-(caffeylarabinosylglucoside)-7-gluco
side were partially characterized.
