Abstract
Non-linear static analysis of an orthotropic shallow spherical shell o n a Pasternak type elastic foundation is carried out, using the Sinhar ay and Banerjee approach. The effect of the geometric parameter of the shell and the foundation and shear modulus of the foundation on load- deflection characteristics is investigated for movably and immovably c lamped and for simply supported edge conditions.
