Abstract
A doubly complex salt containing the atypical non-planar Cu-1 dimeric anion [Cu2Cl4](2-) and a Cu-II containing macrocyclic cation has been synthesized starting from CuCl2 . 2H(2)O and a new N2S2 type macrocycl e 7,9-diaza-3,1 4-dithiatetracycle cosa-1(17),18,20,4(22),23,25,13(26) ,27,29-nonaene. The structure of the complex was determined by X-ray c rystallography.
