Abstract
In many engineering and scientific applications, the need arises to pe rform differential calculations on manifolds. If such calculations inv olve imprecise data, methods for computing with such data must be dete rmined. Definitions and results are given for memberships on manifolds induced by differentiation along vector fields, and by flows of vecto r fields with uncertain parameters. Examples are presented which illus trate the concepts.
