Abstract
A fast PRMA protocol is proposed, and its peformance evaluation carrie d out. The protocol gives better performance in the number of active u sers than that of the original PRMA, and a better performance in mean delay than that of another PRMA proposed by Mitrou. Futhermore, in thi s protocol, the base station is much simpler than that of the PRIMA of Mitrou because the work of channel assignment for uplink need not be done by the base station.
