Abstract
A nonlinear amplifying loop minor (NALM) has been used to recover 1.3p s fundamenal soliton pulses (Z(0) similar or equal to 45m) following t ransmission over 5km of standard telecommunications fibre. The recover y has been examined as a function of the gain within the NALM.
