Abstract
We performed slitlamp microscopy and specular microscopy in 15 patient s who had cataract surgery to determine the clinical course of postope rative membranous proliferation from the anterior capsulotomy margin o nto the intraocular lens optic. Membranous proliferation observed in 1 1 of the 15 eyes eventually resolved in 10 eyes. We speculate that len s epithelial cells were the origin of the membrane.
