Abstract
On refluxing in benzene in the presence of excess pyridine the monocyc loadduct of diphenyl nitrile imine to pyridine smoothly undergoes a [1 ,5] sigmatropic shift and a subsequent electrocyclic opening to afford 1,2,4-triazole derivatives.
