H. Brailovsky et al., A REVISION OF THE GENUS THASUS (HEMIPTERA, COREIDAE, COREINAE, NEMATOPODINI), Journal of the New York Entomological Society, 102(3), 1994, pp. 318-343
The neotropical coreid genus Thasus is revised. Of the eight species,
five (carchinus, luteolus, neocalifornicus, odonnellae, and rutilus) a
re described as new. One of these, T. neocalifornicus, extends into th
e southwestern United States, where it has been misidentified as T. gi
gas or acutangulus. The species are keyed and analyzed cladistically,
their distributions are discussed, and aspects of their morphology are
illustrated.
