Abstract
By means of the GENESIS software a paper quality simulation program ha s been developed on an IBM-PC, based on a previously simulated paper m anufacturing process. The program aimes at the training of operators o r students demonstrating how different Variables of the furnish and of the papermaking process (stock preparation, paper machine) affect sev eral paper characteristics. Technological interactions are taken into consideration by means of empirical equations based on literature.
