Abstract
Understanding the physicochemical and structural properties of peptide s are important prerequisites for the rational design of bioactive pep tides and peptidomimetics. The present contribution reviews methods us ed for the assessment and prediction of lipophilicity (or hydrophobici ty) and their correlation with structural elements of peptides and clo sely related peptidomimetics.
