Jh. Lange et Kw. Thomulka, ENVIRONMENTAL CONTRACTS AND SPECIFICATIONS - COMMON ISSUES ARISING DURING REMEDIATION ACTIVITIES, Fresenius environmental bulletin, 4(3), 1995, pp. 137-142
Environmental science is advancing into a more complex industry. Most
projects that are performed require the contractor to follow a specifi
cation or contract that describes the design and required activities t
o be performed, and in many cases activities or procedures that are pr
ohibited. This is, in part, a result of increased regulation of enviro
nmental remediation. Issues related to environmental contacts and spec
ifications that are discussed include document preparation, topical ca
tegories and potential regulatory constraints. The information discuss
ed in this paper should provide a better awareness of those involved i
n the environmental industry.
