In this study an ecotoxicological characterization of industrial sludg es from metal finishing wastewater treatment processes has been perfor med. This characterization has been developed on the basis of both the Spanish Regulation on hazardous Wastes and the Proposal for a Council Directive on the Landfill of Wastes of the EC.
