Abstract
This paper presents a comparison of recently developed four higher-ord er bounded convection schemes SOUCUP, HLPA, SMARTER and LPPA which emp loy different characteristics in a normalized variable diagram. All th e schemes are formulated on a non-uniform, non-orthogonal grid and the ir relative performances are compared through applications to the seve ral test problems. The results of numerical experiments show that all the tested bounded schemes resolve the boundedness problem retaining t he accuracy of the higher-order scheme. The HLPA, SMARTER and LPPA sch emes result in nearly the same solution behaviours and the SOUCUP sche me is shown to be relatively more diffusive than the other three bound ed schemes.
