A new phenylethanoid glycoside, plantasioside, was isolated from the a erial parts of Plantage asiatica. The structure of plantasioside was d educed from chemical and spectral evidence to be xoethanol]-6'-O-caffe oyl-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside. In addition, the structure of orobanchos ide from P. depressa and P. camtschatica was revised to be -alpha,beta -dioxoethanol]-4'-O-caffeoyl-O-alpha-L- rhamnopyranosyl-(1 --> 3)-O-be ta-D-glucopyranoside from ,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-ethyl]-4(-O-caffeoyl-O-a lpha-L -rhamnopyranosyl-(1 --> 2)-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside.
