Abstract
A new biflavonoid, cinnabarone, was isolated from dragon's blood of Dr acaena cinnabari. Its structure was established, mainly by NMR spectro scopy, as a dihydrochalcone linked by a carbon-carbon bond to a deoxot etrahydrochalcone.
