Abstract
Podosordaria venezuelensis (Ascomycotina, Xylariaceae) is described an d illustrated. It is characterized by the long-stalked, glabrous strom ata, ascospore shape and size, and germ slit length, differing from mo rphologically similar taxa in spore morphology and distribution. A key to all currently accepted species of this fungal genus is provided.
